Mortgage Processor


This position is responsible for producing mortgage and home equity packages for lenders, which includes notes, deeds of trust, and other necessary closing documents. Issues proper disclosures as required by federal regulatory compliance. Additionally, ensure pricing and fees are accurately reflected on each transaction as well as order all necessary appraisals, title, and credit documents.

In addition, the Mortgage Processor will review the documents for acceptability against loan conditions and with the Lender, coordinate with all parties to obtain additional documentation. The position will also complete loan submissions and update tracking as needed. The Processor will arrange and finalize closing with the Lender or Attorney. Prepares closing documents including Settlement Statement, and send closing package including funding check to the attorney’s office.  After closing, the Mortgage Processor will build the final file using the appropriate checklist and forward to Loan Support for booking and filing.

 

 

Preferred Education and Experience

·        Graduation from an accredited college with an Associate degree or related field preferred, minimum of 2 years of banking or real estate closing experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities.

·        Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and experience. Ability to handle confidential material in a professional, ethical manner. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain professional relationships with customers and co-workers. Ability to perform tasks with limited supervision. Time management and organization skills to effectively prioritize multiple objectives and achieve volume goals. Experience with MS office applications.


Financial Services Leader


This position is responsible for assisting with the supervision of the Teller and Customer Service Representative positions in addition to performing the duties of a teller/customer service representative. The position ensures smooth, orderly operation of the teller line and related functions. 

As directed by the Market Supervisor; reviews and evaluates regular reports of branch activities, including staffing, deposits, overdrafts, and working with deposit charge off recovery to meet profit and performance objectives.

Maintain a high level of communication at the location by partnering with the Market Supervisor to conduct weekly staff meetings; ensuring a unified message and appropriate topics pertinent to the business plan are covered. Provides feedback on staffing and performance including coaching and counseling, evaluations, training and development activities. Ensures that all standard operating procedures are consistently and uniformly applied in the location. Creates weekly work schedules for the location weekly and ensures appropriate use of staff to provide optimal customer service and balance to payroll.

 

Preferred Education and Experience include:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.  Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred with supervisory experience; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Banking experience preferred.
